Anarhia is lining up for you ...
 Mihai "Moritz" Moroz, vocal
 Adi Blaj, guitar
 Adi "OQ" Neagoe, keyboards
 Fane Livadariu, bass
 "Simi" Jebelean, drums

Formed in 1989, at first with the following line-up: "Otty" Babics-vocal, guitar, Fane Livadariu-bass, Adi Blaj-guitar, Robi Vizi-drums. At first we played hard&heavy, but then turned to techno-trash, which was fluorishing at that time. The guitar lines and lirycs in Romanian made the band enjoy a real success, from the start.

Until 1992 Anarhia was into organizing concerts, in hometown Lugoj, Timisoara, Costinesti and Constanta. We also took part in many underground festivals: Metal Fan-Bucharest, where we were awarded the jury's special prize, Sam Rock in Satu Mare (third place). During this period we also released our first demo, called "Satania", a representative piece of music for the whole Romanian underground movement of that time. One of the tracks, "E Timpul sa Mori" ("It's Time for You to Die") came along with a video, which was broadcasted on Petre Magdin's show at TVR1, the national Romanian television. During the broadcast, Robi was already in Hungary, where he settled for good, and Otty and Fane went to Germany, then Belgium in order to get away with drafting. Of course they didn't.

In 1994 Adi "OQ" Neagoe (keyboards) and Marius Bosneac (drums) recruted Adi Blaj to form a progressive-rock project. The project was called Corruption. This project had an educational purpose, its aim being to improve Anarhia's style and composition-methods, as well as playing techniques.

In 1996 Otty and Fane proposed to get back together as Anarhia. Along with them came Moritz (vocals), who shortly became our lyricist and vocalist. He'd also co-worked with Anarhia as a designer. It was then when we changed styles and went for power-hardcore. The keyboards added a progressive flavour to the new songs. The band took part in underground festivals: Student Fest in Timisoara, AltRock Fest at Secu, Resita, Young Rock for Youngs-Piatra Neamt (second prize), Posada Rock-Campulung Muscel (first prize, which meant a record deal for 2 albums with Pro Music label from Cluj), Top T-Buzau, SamRock-Satu Mare. Anarhia participated to several other concerts and small happenings at Cluj, Deva, Miercurea Ciuc, Sinnicolau Mare, Bucharest, Costanta, Caransebes, Timisoara, Lugoj.

Around 1998 the Romanian underground movement went into a recession period, which brought a decline to organizing concerts. This and some other internal problems led to the leaving of drummer Marius Bosneac. He had to be replaced right away by a Pentium, for the studio recordings.

In the summer of 1998 Promusic Cluj edited the first album, called "Nici o Vina" ("Not Guilty"). The album was produced by Anarhia and producer Nelu Brindusan, in the "Glas Transilvan" studio, in Cluj. The album was distributed throughout the country..

In the summer of 2000 the guys did the recordings for the second album, "Criza de Nervi" ("The Nervous Crisis"), which was produced with the help of Decius "Apache" Toderici, the same one who worked with Cargo from Timisoara on their latest EP "Baga-ti mintile in cap" (wich can be translated as "Mind Your own Business"). "The Nervous Crisis" was recorded in Voxstar studio, Timisoara.

Still in 2000 the new drummer Simi joined the band. He was "drafted" from a pub by Moritz, who basicaly needed a "helping shoulder". A few beers later he was the official Anarhia drummer. He is living in Timisoara, integrated himself quite well although he still doesn't have a place of his own in Lugoj(!).

Anarhia had a contract with "Zone Records" from Bucharest for the "Nervous Crisis". "Zone" is the Romanian distributor for "Universal" . The contract was signed on November 30, 2000. Anarhia was invited to ProTV, on Florin Calinescu's show. The contract with "Zone" had to be terminated for contractual breeches on the part of the record label.

Also in 2000 Otty Babics left the band as he finally got German citizenship, and moved permanently to Germany.

For 2 years Anarhia had no record deal whatsoever.

In 2002 Anarhia signed again with Promusic from Cluj a record deal for "The Nervous Crisis", and a 2 year booking contract.

For the ones curious of what gear we're toying with:

Adi Blaj - started with a red Cimar guitar, which was a Gibson SG German copy, and an AriaPro FS black guitar plus a Tom Scholtz Soloist multi-effects unit. The sound went straight thru a cheap Romanian HiFi EQ, and then to mixer. In present days, he still uses the AriaPro (only on occasions), a black Peavey Vandenberg and a Viscount PX Multi effects unit. On the second album he used a German Fender Strat copy, a DOD FX7 guitar processor and a Vantage 15W combo. All the credit for the OK sound of the album belongs to Decius "Dishmann" Toderici.

Otty Babics - had a black Romanian Gibson copy and an Arion HotWatt. Later he bought a black BC Rich Warlock and another Tom Scholtz unit, which he used thru the second channel of that same EQ. Our first album was recorded with Otty's BC Rich, a Boss ME5, thru a Marshall JCM800. In 1998 he bought the Viscount unit. In 2000 he sold the BC Rich and bought a black Ibanez RG270, and a Korg AX1000 processor. Otty was also the owner of the 3-way 500W PA, Anarhia is using for rehearsals. The system was configured in early 80's. Otty bought it in '96, and improved it with a Monarch Mixer, a Behringer Virtualizer unit and 2 Shure SM58 mics. The PA was donated to the band when he left.

Fane Livadariu - started like all bass-players in Romanian underground with a Romanian bass guitar. In 1997 he was gifted with a Hohner HP bass, which he used on both albums. On the second album he uses a Zoom 506. He recently sold the Hohner and bought the red Washburn B10.

Adi "OQ" Neagoe - had a Yamaha PSR 200 keyboard at first. In '98, a few days before recording the first album, sold it and bought the first synthesizer: a Yamaha SY22. The MIDI tracks for the drums went thru a Roland JV-80. On the second album, he uses the same synthesizer, plus a software sampler and sequencer. Later on he bought a Roland D-70. As far as the guitars are concerned, he had the most custom-made guitars. In '98 he bought the Fender copy (black, of course). Now he is using the Peavey Vandenberg.

Marius Bosneac - started with some green Russian drums. In '95 he bought some red German copied drums. In '97 bought from the ex-Anarhia drummer Robi a Sonor set of drums with 2 base-drums, Mapex snare-drum, Zildjian Scimitar, Sabian and Meinl cymbals. Unfortunately we have no recordings with those drums. In '98, when he left the band he sold all his drums.

Simi Jebelean - came in 2000 with a set of Pearl Export copies, an Adams double-pedal and Paiste and Sabian cymbals.
